In this Key Research Area, the following projects where funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) between October 2002 and September 2005.
 

  • ATKIS - New Methods for semantic and geometric integration of geoscientific data sets with ATKIS - applied to geo-objects from geology and soil science
  • Distributive Geodata - Development of an instrument to utilize distributive heterogeneous geodata on different scales by a rule based on the derivation of information taking the groundwater vulnerability as an example
  • Geoservices - Advancement of Geo-services
  • ISSNEW - Implementation of the European Water Framework Directive: developing an information and simulation system to evaluate non-point nutrient entries into water bodies
  • MAR_GIS - Marine Geo-Information-System for Visualisation and Typology of Marine Geodata
  • meanInGs - Semantic Interoperability by Means of Geo-services
