Innovative Prospecting Technologies
The following joint research ventures are funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Science (BMBF) within the R&D-Programme GEOTECHNOLOGIEN since April 2005:
- Autoseis - Automatic Seismic Prediction Ahead of a Tunnel Boring Machine
- COMEXTECH - combined prospection technologies for the determination of underground structures and to investigate characteristic rock parameters
- HADU - Hamburg's dynamic underground
- ONSITE - On-Line Seismic Imaging System for Tunnel Excavation in Hard Rock
The research areas "Innovative Prospecting Technologies" and "Technologies for a sustainable Storage of Carbon Dioxide in Geological Formations" represent the Key Research Area Investigation, Use and Protection of the Underground.
