While there has already been, various methods and approaches for assessment of capacities and risks presented in the literature but there is an urgent need for a systematic and generally accepted strategy for the selection and characterization of potential storage formations to develop the industrial storage of CO2. Above all, such a strategy must be able to extend on purely technical issues to social aspects, such as public acceptance.
