Why such an Initiative? What are the goals of Geotechmarket
Until today, public financed research has only been moderately transferred into new products, applications or services. This applies especially to the field of earth sciences, which are not yet identified as a major source for innovative technologies by small and medium sized enterprises - although Germany takes leading position in this research area.
The objectives of Geotechmarket are to identify innovations from geoscientific research as soon as possible and to lead and accompany them into the global market. Far away from institutional or regional limits, an independent platform for the utilization of R&D results will evolve between science and industry. Focused on small and medium sized enterprises, application oriented know-how of universities and research institutions will easily become accessible.
The Geotechmarket-Profile
Geotechmarket follows no commercial interests, is active Germany-wide and closely co-operates with transfer offices of universities and institutions. The initiative concentrates the activities on the first phase of the transition process. Especially the early identification and an individual expert monitoring throughout the whole transition are prioritized. Furthermore, Geotechmarket fosters the initiation of networks and strategic alliances between research institutions and businesses.
